The Bulgarian national broadcaster BNT announced today via its official twitter account that the country’s next representative at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev will be determined through an internal selection. Bulgaria for one more time is going internal without holding a national final. Very soon the interested artists will be able to apply for the procedure.

Lately, rumors have been going around the 18 year female singer Gery-Nikol as favorite to represent the country on Kiev’s stage next May. The young singer has became popular in 2014 through the x factor talent show  at the age of 16. Her latest hit “Gotina & Luda” came out on December 6 and has already scored a number of 8 million views on Youtube. This success boosted the rumors having her as a favorite for Kiev.

 

 

 

 

During here recent interview on Darik Radio responding to a potential participation in the Eurovision Song Contest she expressed her acceptance to such a development outlining though her songs different style than that of the contest’s but however without excluding a combination of the two music styles on stage.

Bulgaria debuted in the contest in 2005 and hasn’t achieved  victory yet. This year Poli Genova represented Bulgaria with the entry If love was a crime achieving country’s highest placing (4th) in the Grand Final.
