The Finnish national broadcaster, Yle, announced that the host of the country’s Eurovision 2019 national final, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, will be once again Krista Siegfrids.

Krista had represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 inSeden, Malmö with her entry “Marry Me“, which came 24th in the Grand final. She has presented to us  Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018 and she has participated in the Swedish national selection,  Melodifestivalen, in 2016 and 2017.

The Finnish Eurovision 2019 act will be revealed at January 29 at 12:00 pm CET while the national final will take place on March 2. However the exact number of entries to compete in the national final is still unknown.

Last year’s representative Saara Aalto, had taken part in  UMK  with three songs. The song that received the most votes was  “Monsters” leaving behind 2nd  “Domino” last the song “Queens“. Eventually the country finished 25th in the grand final with 46 points.
