Helena and Eurovision

The Greek act has represented Greece twice in the Eurovision Song Contest , in 2001 as member of  Antique and their Die for you (3rd place) and back in 2005 in Kiev with My number one which brought the trophy to Greece. In 2014 she competed in the Swedish national selection of  Melodifestivalen with her entry Survivor and came 4th.

Helena during her recent interview to Ethnos TV , where she talked about various aspects of her personal life and her experience as a judge at The Voice couldn’t leave out Eurovision. Responding to a question of a potential third Eurovision comeback she didn’t hide her thoughts:

“Eurovision isn’t over for me, and a third participation in the future is still in my mind”

Refering to the leaked demo of Fuego which was proposed to her intially by the Cypriot broadcaster but eventually ended up for Eleni Foureira and came 2nd in Lisbon , she stated:

“It was bad that the demo leaked.  It wasn’t right. We all make many demos that later are performed by other artists. It’s not nice either for me or Eleni.  She was brilliant, and should have won this years Eurovision”.

This period Helena apart from her new work continues with her 3rd consecutive participation as a jury member on The Voice of Greece show, together with Sakis RouvasPanos Mouzourakis and Kostis Maraveyas. Lets remember her winning performance that gave Greece its one and only victory in the contest.
