MTVA the national Hungarian broadcaster has revealed the last three days in two turns (Monday-Wendsday)  the 20 of the total 30  participants of the forthcoming 2015 Hungarian 2015 Eurovision national selection- A Dal 2015.

On Monday at a joint press event of MTVA and MTV in Budapest, ten out of thirty entries of A Dal 2015, were announced.

  • Bogi – World Of Violence
  • Balázs Farkas-Jenser – Liar
  • Karmapolis – The Time Is Now
  • MDC – Maniac
  • Barbie – Listen To The Universe
  • Spoon – Keep Marching On
  • Saci & Böbe Szécsi – Our Time
  • Vera Tóth – Gyémánt

Today, ten more songs of A Dal 2015 have been introduced to the public, so that 20 out of 30 entries have been revealed.Today’s entries were:

  • Kati Wolf – Ne engedj el
  • Gabi Szűcs – Úgysem felejtesz el
  • Timi Antal – Woke Up This Way
  • Gergő Szakács – Ősz utca
  • Proof of Life – Hol a határ
  • Fool Moon – Back To Right
  • Pankastic! – Kicsi a világ, de nagy világ
  • Zoltán Mujahid – Beside You
  • Gyula Éliás Jr. feat. Fourtissimo – Run To You
  • Éva Katona-Zsombori – Fire

The Hungarian broadcaster received a total of 350 entries and a  10 member jury evaluated all  of them and concluded in a total of 30 that will compete for the golden ticket to Vienna, in the 2015 Hungarian Eurovision national selection. The national selection kicks off on January 24 and  will consist of a total of 6 televised shows ( 3 heats, 2 semifinals and 1 grand final). 10 acts will compete in each heat. 6 acts from each heat will qualify to the semifinals ( 5 via jury vote+ 1 via televoting vote).   A total of 18 acts will battle in the semifinals (9 in each semifinals). The Grand Final will take place on February 28. The exact scheduled dates are:

24/01 -A Dal Heat 1

31/01- A Dal Heat 2

07/02- A Dal Heat 3

14/02-  A Dal Semifinal 1

21/02 -A Dal Semifinal 2

28/02- A Dal Grand Final

The 2015 A Dal jury will consist of : Pierrot, Jenő Csiszár, Magdi Rúzsa (Hungary 2007) and Philip Rákay and the viewers will act as fifth jury member having a bigger influence in selecting the winning song.They will be able to cast their votes after each performance via a mobile app.

Hungary debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and is yet to win the contest. The country’s best placing in the event was achieved during its year, was a 4th place in 1994 at the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin with Frederika Bayer’s’s Kinek Mondjam Al Vetkeimet! In 2014 Hungary wa represented by Kallay Andras Saunders in Copenhagen with his entry Running, achieving an honorable 5th place in the grand final.
