Tonight the first of the two semi finals took place for the Hungarian selection “A Dal” that will determine who will represent Hungary in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The Grand Final will take place on 28 February and will include the four artists that qualified from tonight’s semi final and another four from next week’s second semi final.

The names that qualified to the grand final are:

  • Ádám Szabó – Give me your love (47 points, jury and SMS qualifier)
  • Boglárka ‘Boggie’ Csemer – Wars for nothing (47 points, jury and SMS qualifier)
  • Zoltán Mujahid – Beside you (43 points, jury and SMS qualifier)
  • Spoon – Keep marching on (41 points, SMS qualifier)

Therefore, Karmapolis, New Level Empire, Pankastic!, Timi Antal and Vera Tóth were eliminated from the competition after receiving the least amount of vote.

The results above were dwtermined in two rounds of voting. At the first round  the jury and the televoting scores put three through to the final and then the second round of voting saw one more act advance to the grand final.

Next week we await for the second semi final of “A DAL” that will send another four acts to the grand Final.
