Having reached the top 10 of the competing acts in Israel’s national selection, The Next Star, in last evening’s show we watched the contestants compete in duels again.

From each duel battle, the one getting the most positive votes coming from the public and the jury, formed by Static & Ben-El TavoriKeren PelesHarel Skaat and Assaf Amdursky, qualified to the next round .

Therefore the 5 acts that passed to the next round directly after the first round of voting were:

  • Chen Aharoni & Jonathan Margi (92%) – Adva Omer & Eden Meiri (66%)
  • José Steinberg (53%) – Riki Ben Ari (64%)
  • Ravit Batashvili (74%) – Shay & Gilad (36%)
  • Howie Danao (69%) – Netta Barzilai (76%)

After this the jury evaluated the 5 that didn’t qualify and chose 3 contestants that could move on the next stage of the show. Those were:

  • Adva Omer
  • Eden Meiri
  • Howie Danao

At the end, the two acts remaining, competed in a last duel battle and the one gathering the most positive votes qualified to the next round, joining the other 8 qualifiers. Therefore, the one that got the last ticket of the night was:

  • Shay & Gilad (28%) vs José Steinberg (82%)
