The Israeli national selection for Eurovision 2018 is reaching to its end, as the final of «The Next Star» will take place tonight to determine the artist who will represent the country in Lisbon.

Hosts of the final will be  Assi Azar and Rotem Sela. This is the 4th successive year the country is choosing its representative through the Next Star show and the results have been rather satisfying since Israel has made it to the final continuously since 2015.

Until today’s final we have seen a total of 99 competing artists. However the four that have achieved to reach tonight’s final are:

  •  Netta Barzilai

  • Chen Aharoni

  • Riki Ben Ari

  • Jonathan Mergui

Notable that Chen Aharoni had attempted to represent the country back in 2011 participating the national final  Kdam, where he ended in the 4th place with his song Or.

The final winner will be determined after two voting rounds. In the first round the 4 finalists will perform one song each. The two acts who will receive the highest percentage of positive public and jury votes will qualify to the 2nd round . The jury consists of  Static & Ben-El TavoriKeren PelesHarel Skaat and Assaf Amdursky. After that the judges will  save one of the other two contestants left behind that will join the other two in the 2nd voting round.

In the second voting round the three finalists will perform each one song. In this round the audience exclusively will determine who will fly to Lisbon next May.

The final of The Next Star 2018 will start at 20:00 CET and you can watch it HERE
