Malta: The three Girls and Overs who made it to the live shows of X-Factor
This year X Factor Malta is the successor of Malta Eurovision Song Contest (MESC) as the format for selecting the country’s Eurovision 2019 entry. This Sunday night the show reached to the Judges’ Houses stages for the Girls and Overs categories, from which three only acts will move on to the live shows.
The Judges’ Houses round
After the bootcamp Each group was assigned to a judge as its mentor for the rest of the show . From each goup 6 acts will secure a spot in the next round of Judge’s Houses . The previous four Sunday evenings we watched the girls’ , boys’ , the Overs’ and the Groups’ teams going through the Chair Challenge round and a total of six acts from each group proceeding to the next stage of Judges’ Houses. In the Judges’ Houses round we see 6 acts from each team visit their coach’s- judge’s house in order to perform before him and a special guest their last song, in order to win one of the three spots in each category that lead to the live shows.
In last evening’s episode we saw the Girls and Overs perform in the houses of Howard Keith and Ray Mercieca respectively.
THE GIRLS’ TEAM
The six girls that made it through the chair challenge round γύρο and took the stand for their last performance before the live shows were : η Karin Duff, η Kelsey Bellante, η Jade Vella, η Nicole Frendo, η Michela Pace και η Danica Muscat. The girls visited Howard Keith’s house. Howard had as a guest to consult him, Mike Hedges who has collaborated with some of the biggest names of the international music scene, among which U2, Dido, Manic Street Preachers, Travis, Texas and The Cure. THE OVERS’ TEAM
The six Overs who passed through the chair challenge round and took part in Judges’ Houses were : Anna Azzopard, Franklin Calleja, Anna Faniello, Petra, Ben Purplle, Vanessa Sultana. The six acts were hosted in Ray Mercieca’s house , who has as his guest Matthew James Borg , well known as leading vocalist of the group Red Elektrick. Next Sunday the Judges’ Houses for the Boys and Groups’ category will be broadcast in order to fill the last set of six spots of the live shows.
