The Portuguese broadcaster, RTP, for the Eurovision Song Contest has this evening announced the names of the act  who will compete for  representing Portugal in Vienna. The entry will be selected via Festival da Canção 2015.

Festival da Canção 2015 will include two semi finals held on Mach the 3rd and 5th respectively and the Grand Final held on 7 March. The list of candidates competing is the following:

Semi Final One – 3 March

  1. Rita Seidi – Lisboa, Lisboa (Sara Tavares / Kalaf Epalanga)
  2. Leonor Andrade – Há um mar que nos Separa (Miguel Gameiro)
  3. Filipa Baptista – A noite inteira (Augusto Madureira)
  4. Yola Dinis – Outra vez primavera (Nuno Feist / Nuno Marques da Silva)
  5. Gonçalo Tavares – Tu rens uma mágica (Gonçalo Tavares / José Cid)
  6. Adelaide Ferreira – Paz (Adelaide ferreira)

Semi Final Two – 5 March

  1. Rubi Machado – Quando a lua voltar a passar (Sebastião Antunes)
  2. José Freitas – Mal menor (Ninguém me Guia à Razão) (Churky -Diogo Rodrigues-)
  3. Teresa Radamanto – Um fado em Viena (Fernando Abrantes / Jorge Mangorrinha)
  4. Simone de Oliveira – À espera das canções (Renato Jr./ Tiago Torres da Silva)
  5. Filipe Gonçalves – Dança joana (Héber Marques)
  6. Diana Piedade – Maldito tempo (Carlos Massa)

Portugal participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark being represented by the winner of Festival da Canção 2014,  Suzy . The artist performed the Portuguese entry “Quero ser tua”, written by Emanuel. The song though the dynamic performance on stage  failed to qualify from the first semi-final just for one point, placing 11th with a score of 39 points.
