Russia 2017: Julia Samoylova and ”Flame is Burning” will fly to Kiev
In news program on Russian Channel 1, it was revealed that Julia Samoylova will represent Russia in Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv with the song “Flame is Burning”.

Yuliya Olegovna Samoylova or Julia Samoylova or Yulia Samoilova was born 7 April 1989 and is a Russian singer and composer. Julia was born in Ukhta. As a child, She began losing function of her legs due to spinal muscular atrophy and has used a wheelchair since childhood. The singer says that exacerbation of the hereditary disease could follow after an unsuccessful poliomyelitis vaccination , but specialists deny such a connection. In 2010 she left Modern Humanitarian Academy, but she didn’t finish her studying. She studied at psychology faculty. In 2013, Julia was the runner-up of season three of Faktor A, the Russian version of The X Factor. The following year, she also took part in the opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Paralympics. She was chosen on 12 March 2017 to represent Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 held in, the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, with the song “Flame Is Burning”.
