The 4th semi final round of Melodifestivalen 2018, Sweden’s Eurovision national selection, took place tonight in ÖrnsköldsvikAfter tonight’s event two more finalists were determined and another two artists qualified to the second chance semi final. Host of the show, like in the previous semi finals was David Lindgren ( past participant in Melodifestivalen 2012, 2013 and 2016)

Another set of 7 acts  battled for 2 spots directly to the final and 2 more in the second chance semi final. The seven acts were:

The voting included two rounds in which only the public  voted.  The first 5 who receive the most votes qualified to a second round of voting . These 5 acts were:

  1. Elias Abbas – Mitt paradis
  2. Olivia Eliasson – Never Learn
  3. Felix Sandman – Every Single Day
  4. Mariette – For You
  5. Rolandz – Fuldans       

Emmi Christensson with the song Icarus (6th place) and Felicia Olsson with Break That Chain (7th place) were eliminated.

The two acts that qualified straight to the final are:

  1. Mariette – For You
  2. Rolandz – Fuldans

The two acts that finished in the  3rd and 4th placed and qualified to the second chance semi final are:

  1. Olivia Eliasson – Never Learn
  2. Felix Sandman – Every Single Day
