Trijntje Oosterhuis will be the Dutch representative at the next Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The Dutch broadcaster confirmed the information. The song will be written by Anouk, who represented Netherlands back in 2013. The song has not yet been completed but the singer said: ‘It is a surprising choice and quite different than you would expect from Anouk and me’. Anouk ended a string of eight years in which the Netherlands failed to qualify for the final while last year The Common Linnets were the runner up act after Conchita Wurst.

The Dutch broadcaster seems determined to bring back the contest home choosing another stablished and well known artist. Trijntje is 41 years old and has already 9 solo albums published in her country two of them reached Platinum.
