Darina Krasnovetsky is selected to be Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2018 representative next November in Minsk, Belarus.

The Ukrainian national broadcaster, UA:PBC announced that  Darina Krasnovetsky will represent the country in the next edition of Junior Eurovision 2018, with her entry Say Love. The national channel chose this year to launch an online national selection due to the financial issues it has been facing. We remind you that initially Ukraine had made a withdrawal announcement becuase of these problems but at the end got back last on the train of the participating countries.

A total of 1o acts competed in the nationan selection and the outcome was determined by public and jury voting .Darina came 3rd in the public voting, but a jury of five music experts was the one to determine the final outcome

The 10 competing acts were :

  1. Kain Rivers – Without Saying Goodbye
  2. HAOS – Nenormalne lito
  3. The Sparks – We Are Part of This
  4. Denis Rodin – Batky
  5. Yarina Taras – Sonyachnyy bit
  6. Irina Ignatenko – Ya z toboyu
  7. Alexander Balabanov – My dity zemli!
  8. Darina Krasnovetsky – Say Love
  9. Polina Pizartsova – Ty povir v lyubov
  10. Sofia Ivanko – Chomu?

A total of 20 countries will be participating next November in Minsk, Belarus. Among those Wales and Kazahkstan will be making their debut while Azerbaijan, Israel and France will be returning to the contest.

The national broadcaster BTRC (Belarusian Television and Radio Company) will host the next edition of the contest , that will take place in Minsk Arena on Sunday 25 Νovember.

Ukraine in  Junior Eurovision

The country made its first appearance back in 2006 and from then on hasn’t missed a contest. In 2012 , Ukraine was crowned winner in Amsterdam , with  Anastasiya Petryk  and her song Nebo, reaching a total of 138 points and after receiving 8 set of 12 points. Ukraine hosted the contest not only in 2013 after its 2012 victory but back in 2009 also .
