Albania 2018: Festivali i Këngës for Albania

Albania is taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004. The country’s first entry was Anjeza Shahini with her song The image of you (7th place).

Like almost every year, the country chooses the artist and song from the Festivali i Këngës. This will be the 56th edition and will be held in December. RTSH, the broadcaster of Albania, has already opened the submission period for the Festival.

RTSH will be receiving the applications from 2 to 10 November at Radio Tirana (9:00-14:00 CET).

All candidate songs cannot be released before its submission for the Festival. The song’s duration have to be no longer than 4 minutes and must be performed by the original artist. All participants have to be over 16 years old with one song only.

Last year Lindita  won Festivali i Këngës with her song Botë. In Kiev she performed an English version of her song, World.
