Albania: Elhaida Dani’s “I’m alive” released to the public.
The Albanian entry for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest I’m alive together with the official music video were revealed today. This comes as a result after the fact that Elhaida Dani, Albania’s representative in Vienna had announced that her initial entry Diell will withdraw.
I’m alive is a pop ballad with modern and ethnic elements which manages to exhibit Elhaida’s impressive vocal. The entry was composed by the duo Zzap & Chris who enjoys great success in Albania and Kosovo while the lyrics are signed by Sokol Marsi for the Albanian version and Linda Halimi(3rd place in this year’s edition of Festivali i Kenges) for the English version. Further on the song was mastered by the famous composer and songwriter Darko Dimitrov from FYROM but who is also very famous in the Balkans.
The song itself aims to pass a strong message concerning the strength of women, by showing it through professions that are man’s stereotype professions. The video clips refers to a woman that is convinced that the love she is waiting for will come for sure.
Last year Albania was represented in Copenhagen by the winner of Festivali i Kenges, Hersi and her entry One Night’s Anger which participated in the first semi final but didn’t manage to qualify in the Grand Final.
