Albania: Participants and Song Titles of the 56th Festivali i Këngës go public.
The official site of the Albanian broadcaster gave to the public the names of the artists that will participate in the 56th edition of Festivali i Këngës, the music event through which Albania determines its representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. The list published apart from the artist’s names includes the title of their entries to compete. A total of 22 songs will compete and they are the following:

8. Manjola Nallbani – Të Pandarë
9. David & Genc Tuqici – Tjetër Jëtë
10. Grupi Na & Festina Mejzini – I Njejti Ciell
11. Mariza Ikonomi – Unë
12. Redon Makashi – Eksistoj

Among the contestants we meet Albania’s representative back in Eurovision 2006 in Athens ,Luiz Ejlli, who sung then«Zjarr e ftohtë» and got a 13th placing in the semi final. Luiz is participating this time in a duet with Rezarta Smaja who has competed in the Festivali i Këngës twice in the past. However on the contestants list we meet more ex participants of the festival such as the band Lynx, Orgesa Zaimi, Tahir Gjoci, Mariza Ikonomi and Xhesika Polo. The Grand Final of Festivali i Këngës will take place on 23 December. Below you can refresh your memory of Luiz Ejlli and his entry back in Athens 2006 :
Albania was represented in the last Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev by last year’s winner of Festivali i Këngës, Lindita Halimi and her entry World which didn’t manage to qualify to the Grand Final ending up in the 14th place.
