MALTA

Eliana Gomez Blanco from Malta  was the first act to rehearse on stage at Arena Gliwice, performing her entry We Are More. The preselected colors of pink, purple and blue the stage features turn into shades of red as the song escalates.  Notable the a tree that looks as if it ‘growing backwards’ . Eliana was alone on stage and keeps herself and her message in the spotlight. Powerful vocals especially when she delivers the high notes impressively.

Next to take the stage was Kazakhstan’s Yerzhan Maxim on his first rehearsal of  ‘Armanyńnan Qalma’. Throughout the song a frame of yellow light stands behind the act on the middle of the stage, surrounding him until just before the end of the song when the message “Dream on ” on the LED background screen closes the performance . The backdrop is of a sky with stars, with many fountains  projecting water to the top of the LED screen Yerzhan is joined by four dancers on stage. Strong vocals by a confident Yerzhan. A live performance that sounds almost the same with the studio version of the song. Wow !!!

The whole stage turns into a forest which adjusts its colors to each season throughtout the song.
