Armenia: AMPTV opens a call of song submissions for Eurovision 2019

Just a day after the revelation of the Armenian Eurovision 2019 representative, AMPTV, the Armenian national broadcaster, has opened the song submission window for Eurovision 2019 in order to find the best song for the Armenian Eurovision act.
Just one day before the Armenian broadcaster revealed that Srbuk will represent Armenia at the 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Losing no time the the Armenian broadcaster has launched its quest for the best song to fit Srbuk and represent the country on the Eurovision stage in Tel Aviv.
An open call for songs
The Armenian national broadcaster, has launched an open call for song submissions in order to find the most appropriate song . Composers and producers intrested to submit a song for Armenia can send in their entries to the Armenian broadcaster fulfilling the following conditions:
-The submitted song should not durate more than 3 minutes.
-The submitted song should not have been published or publicly available before September 1, 2018.
-If submitted, the lyrics of the song should lack a political context, offensive expressions and any inappropriate language.
-The submitted song should not be a propaganda of any organization or advertise any product,
-The submitted song can be in any genre, the lyrics (if available) should be in Armenian or English.
The submission deadline for composers is 10 January 2019. Composers intetrested to send in their music poroposal for Srbuk can do it via the email address: selection@armtv.com. The composers must attach a document proving copyright registration of the song and all their personal contact information .
The Eurovision Story so Far
Armenia participated first time in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004. The best results for the country came in 2008 with Sirusho and in 2014 with Aram Mp3 achieving both a 4th in the Grand Final. Since its debut hasn’t missed a contest except in 2012 when the country withdrew from the contest.
In its 12 years of participation Armenia has managed 7 top 10 placings establishing her as one of the most successful countries in the contest. In 2018 the Depi Evratesil 2018 winner Sevak Khanagyan represented Armenia in Lisbon with his entry Qami. Depsite his impressive vocal performance he didn’t make it to the final.
