Armenia: Genealogy’s Song title changed to “Face the Shadow”
Genealogy, who will represent Armenia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, have officially changed the title of their entry.Following a request from Armenian national broadcaster AMPTV, Genealogy’s entry will now be called Face the shadow.
The request to change the title of the song – originally called Don’t deny – was granted by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group to (according to Head of Delegation Gohar Gasparyan, on behalf of AMPTV) ti strengthen the concept of an anthem of peace, love and unity and to eradicate any suggestion of political intent.
Genealogy and Armenia will seek to qualify from the first semi-final of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place on Tuesday 19 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna.
