Australia: Kate Miller-Heidke drops her new single “This Is Not Forever’”

The Australian Eurovision 2019 act Kate Miller-Heidke returns with some new piece of work with her brand new single “This is not forever”.

Kate Miller-Heidke has released her new single, This is not forever, a title which immediately directs us to think the current situation covid-19 has got us into and how we wish this not to be forever. However, Kate’s new song was composed before the covid-19 pandemic and carries some strong messages according to what herself say on her twitter account, explaining the meaning of her new song:

Along with the track was released the music video which was a collaboration with director Christiaan Van Vuuren and choreographer Lucas Jervies. It was shot in isolation by each dancer on the phone and subsequently pieced together by Van Vuuren.

Kate in Eurovision

Miller-Heidke  took part in the first ever Australian national final “Eurovision: Australia Decides”  held in Gold Coast in February 2019 and after winning the event with her entry “Zero Gravity” went on represeting the land Down Under at Eurovision 2019 .  In Tel Aviv Kate qualified to the Grand final where she achieved a top 10 placng, finishing in the 9th place with 284 points. In addition she won the Marcel Bezencon Artistic Award, which is awarded to the best Eurovision artist as voted by competition commentators.
