Austria: Vincent Bueno releases his Eurovision 2020 entry “Alive”
Earlier this morning the Austrian Eurovision 2020 rerepresentative,Vincent Bueno, released his Eurovision entry entitled “Alive” .
During the morning radio show Ö3-Wecker on Hitradio Ö3, the Austrian Eurovision 2020 hopeful, Vincent Bueno, unveiled his music proposal for the upocoming Eurovision Song Contest , entitled “Alive” .
Talking to Eurovision.tv on his entry stated:
The song itself has undergone massive evolution and got a good push in the final sprint. I worked with very young producers and composers (David, Davey ‘Yang, Felix van Göns, Artur Aigner), who will definitely be involved in the Austrian music scene in the future. While the song was being created, everyone on the team was able to experience how much the song was evolving, especially when everyone freed themselves from their own egos and opened up to each other.
A few words about Vincent
Vincent Bueno (December 10, 1985), is an Austrian-Filipino singer who is based in Austria and the Philippines. On January 12, 2008, he became the winner of the ORF programme, Musical! Die Show (Musical! The Show), an Austrian television musical contest.
He also served as a support act for Filipino singer Sarah Geronimo’s concert in Vienna. On January 18, 2008, Bueno told the Philippine media of his plans to debut in the Philippines. He then made his first performance in Philippine Television on ASAP XV on August 29, 2010. He also signed a contract under Star Records, an ABS-CBN Entertainment Group Company, to pursue his music career in the Philippines.
In 2009 he released his debut album ,entitle “Step by step” . In 2016, he participated in the Austrian Eurovision national final, with his song All we need is that love, while one year later, he served as a backing vocalist for Nathan Trent, who represented their country in Kiev and finished in 16th position. His latest work was released in 2018 entiled Invincible.
The Eurovision Sotry So Far
Austria debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and has won the competition twice with Udo Jurgens in Eurovision 1966 and the song Merci, Chérie and Conchita Wurst and her entry Rise Like a Phoenix in Eurovision 2014. In 2018 Austria selected Cesar Sampson via an internal selection and represented the country with his entry Nobody but you. The Austrian act achieved a honorable 3rd placing in the Grand Final by winning the jury voting winning the jury voting.
In 2019, the electropop singer-songwriter PÆNDA represented the coutry with her song “Limits” which unfortunately didn’t make it to the Grand final , as she finished 17th in the semi final.
