Azerbaijan: Ictimai opts for internal selection; On 15 March details
Ictimai, the Azerbaijani national broadcaster has announced today that Azerbaijan will select its Eurovision 2015 entry and representative via an internal selection.The broadcaster is currently working on selecting its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 which will take place in Vienna, Austria in May. The 2015 Azerbaijani act and entry will be revealed on 15 March.
Last year the country was represented Dilara Kasimova won the golden ticket to Copenhagen with her entry Start the fire, achieving a 22nd place in the grand finale.
Azerbaijan participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 and won the event in 2011 with Ell and Nikki’s Running Scared, thus bringing the contest to Baku in 2012.
