Azerbaijan: Ictimai TV will take part in Eurovision 2022
Azerbaijan’s national broadcaster, İctimai TV, has confirmed that it will take part in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Italy.
İctimai TV has officially confirmed to ESCToday that the country will be present at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Italy next year.
In recent years, İctimai TV has chosen the country’s representative through internal selections, which seems a more likely scenario to happen in 2022 as well.
In the coming weeks, the İctimai TV will provide more information on how it will be selected to promote the country’s representative and participation in Eurovision 2022.
Azerbaijan in Eurovision
Azerbaijan has been taking part in the Eurovision Song contest since 2008 and has won the contest one time in 2011 with the duo Eldar & Nikki and the song ”Running scared“.
This year Azerbaijan represented by Efendi who sang ‘Mata Hari’ which finished 20th place with 65 points.
