Azerbaijan: Nadir Rustamli will represent the country at Eurovision 2022
Azerbaijan has internally selected Nadir Rustamli to represent the country at Eurovision 2022 in Italy.
Azerbaijan’s broadcaster ITV has announced Nadir Rustamli as the country’s next representative at Eurovision 2022. Nadir was revealed this morning during the “Good Morning, Azerbaijan” show.
A total of 300 songs have been submitted following an open invitation from ITV. Six of them will be on the list for the jury to select the final song that Nadir will perform in Turin representing Azerbaijan.
A few words for Nadir
Nadir is a singer from Azerbaijan, born on July 8, 1999 in the city of Salyan, Azerbaijan. He started playing music as a child. In his school years he studied piano and solfeggio at the Gulu Asgarov Music School for 7 years. In 2016, he was admitted to the University of Tourism and Administration of Azerbaijan and in 2021 graduated from this university.
Student Spring participated in the National Song Festival twice, for the first time in 2017 and won second place and second place in 2019 and won the competition. In 2019, she represented Azerbaijan in the International Youthvision Song Contest, winning second place among 21 countries.
In 2021 he participated in the “Voice of Azerbaijan”. He chose to compete in the team of Eldar Gasimov, winner of Eurovision 2011 in Azerbaijan with Elle. He managed to reach the final together with 3 other participants but only one would be the winner who would emerge exclusively by SMS voting. Nadir wins Voice of Azerbaijan 42.6%

Azerbaijan in Eurovision
Azerbaijan has been taking part in the Eurovision Song contest since 2008 and has won the contest one time in 2011 with Ell & Nikki and the song” Running Scared“.
In 2021 Azerbaijan represented by Efendi who sang “Mata Hari” finishing 20th in the final with 65 points.
