Bulgaria: BNT opens submission window for ESC 2021 songs
The Bulgarian national broadcaster, BNT, is definetely losing no time and after confirming Victoria as the country’s representative at Eurovision 2021, has opened the submission window for new songs.
Following the Eurovision 2020 cancellation and the EBU’s decision to exclude this year’s entries to compete in next year’s competition, the national broadcasters are progressively clearing out if the will stick with this year’s representative or go to a new national selection process. Bulgaria has confimed that Victoria Georgieva, will return in Eurovision 2021 and has now opened the submission window for composers and songwriters to send in their songs.
Now we are opening a call for new exciting projects.

This year Victoria was internally selected to represent Bulgaria with the song ” Tears getting sobber” which was one of the bookies’ favorite to win the contest.
The Eurovision story so far
Bulgaria debuted in ESC in 2005 in Kiev. The Balkan country has already 12 participations in the contest and has made it to the Grand Final show only 3 times. in 2007 represented by Elitsa and Stoyan (5th place), in 2016 it was Poli Genova (4th place) and in 2017 Kristian Kostov was the runner up.
Bulgaria’s last participation, after 2019 withdrawal, was in 2018 with Equinox and their entry “Bones“which finished 14th in the Grand final.
