Bulgaria: BNT to hold a special voting in order to find fans’ ESC 2020 winner

The Bulgarian national broadcaster, BNT, will hold an online voting in order to find the fans’ winner among the Eurovision 2020 competing entries.
As the Eurovision song Contest 2020 has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, BNT joins the lists of countries that will be holdiing special votings seeking for fans’ favorite and winner among the Eurovision 2020 entries.
The Bulgarian broadcaster has made known through its Twitter account that from May 11 and during the week the audience will be able to cast its vote for the ESC 2020 winner. The online voting process will take place through the BNT1 application and will remain open until the special show ‘Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light’ and will go on during the show.
BNT will run a voting do decide the favourite song of Bulgaria at #Eurovision 2020. The viewers part of the result will be decided upon voting in the new BNT1 App during the Eurovision week and the “Europe Shine a Light” special. Voting will be free of charge.

However BTN hasn’t made clear yet how it will announce the final result and winner and if it will air a special show for it.
Victoria was to represent the country singing “Tears Getting Sober” which was one of the favorites to win the Eurovision 2020 before the competition was canceled. BNT has confirmed that Victoria will rerpesent the country at Eurovision 2021. The organizers of the European Union Broadcasting Contest announced on March 20 that participants in the 2021 contest will have to come up with new songs, so Victoria will seek for new song for next year’s edition.
