Bulgaria: Victoria unveils the titles of her candidate Eurovision 2021 songs

Bulgaria’s Eurovision 2021 representative, Victoria, has released the titles of her potential songs for Rotterdam. 

After last year’s Eurovision cancellation Bulgaria invited back Victoria Georgieva to represent the country. Not many days ago the Bulgarian ESC 2021 hopeful revealed that her song for Rotterdam will be one of the song s in her debut album “A little dramtic” .

Now Victoria unveiles the titles of the songs from her upcoming debut album, one of which will travel to Rotterdam next May. Namely the songs are : 

  • Imaginary Friend
  • Growing Up Is Getting Old
  • Dive Into Unknown
  • Phantom Pain
  • The Funeral Song
  • UGLY CRY

While Ugly Cry has already been released, the rest of the tracks will follow progressively on Bulgarias’s official platform for Eurovision eurovision.icard.com and Victoria’s Youtube Channel. First song to be released is “Imaginary Friend” on February 14. 

Once all six candidate songs are published the broadcaster will kick off a special online platform allowing fans to submit their comments and  their feedback on the proposed songs. Apart from the fans, music, T.V and radio experts will be invited to submit their own opinion and judgement on the songs. 

Bulgaria will be competing in the second semi final on May 20, 2021.

Bulgaria in Eurovision 

Bulgaria joined the Eurovision family in the 2005 contest in Kiev. The nation counts has already 12 participations in the competition and has qualified to the Grand Final show only 3 times. Namely the Balkan country made it to the final in 2007 represented by Elitsa and Stoyan (5th place), in 2016 it was Poli Genova (4th place) and in 2017 Kristian Kostov when he came second.

In 2018 Bulgaria went to Lisbon with Equinox and their entry “Boneswhich finished 14th in the Grand final while in 2019 it withdrew from the contest.

Last year Victoria Georgieva was selected by BNT to represent the country at Eurovision 2020 with her song “Tears Getting Sober”. However, Victoria’s Eurovision 2020 journey came to an early end by the cancellation due to the covid-19 outbreak.
