Bulgaria:Indications of a possible ESC withdrawal shock the Eurovision family
It stroke like lightning the Eurovision family the news that Bulgaria might not be present at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.
It all started after yesterday’s exchanging tweets between the national broadcaster BTN and the coordinator of the Eurovision project, Deyan Yordanov . The successful Bulgarian coordinator through a tweet on his personal Twiter account announced his resignation to receive a thanking response from the Bulgarian broadcaster without elaborating on the topic. However according to a comment made from Deyan under his post, the decision had to do mostly with financial issues.
Following this unexpected resignation that rised the tension in the broadcaster another tweet today coming this time from Georgi or artistically called JJ, member of Equinox, expressed his disappoitment for the country’s withdrawal from Eurovision as it was a big opportunity for all Bulgarian artists.
I’m extremely sad and disappointed to hear that Bulgaria is withdrawing from Eurovision. It was one if the few opportunities for the Bulgarian performers….

As rumors on a potential Bulgarian withdrawal were going around all day , an official statement by the Bulgarian national broadcaster, BNT, will certainly throw some light on the dark spots of this issue that has taken by surprise the Eurovision family. Hoping that all these are rumors and just rumors we all await the broadcaster’s official statement to clear things and eventually we’ll see Bulgaria in Tel Aviv.
This year the country was represented by Equinox and the song Bones which finished 14th in the Grand final.
