Cyprus: Eleni Foureira brings the disco ball along with her new song ‘Light it Up’

The Cypriot Eurovsion 2018 representative, Eleni Foureira, returns riding the Disco wave with her new single titled ‘Light it Up’.

The 33-year-old Greek goddess that put fire on the Eurovision stage in 2018 with ‘Fuego’ makes a dynamic comeback bringing us the spirit of Disco in the house.After her follow-up multilingual pops, including “Caramela,” “Loquita,” “Yayo” and “Temperatura.”, her new single ‘Light it Up’ continue her domination in the Greek and Cypriot charts and not only. 

Shifitng away from her recent Spanish-language vibe, take us now on the dance floor to get in a disco mood, which in current times features also international hits by Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga and Jessie Ware. In her new single she sings “I am gasoline, and you are my fire,” in disco beat, retro synths and a sexy bassline. 

Light It Up‘ has been composed by Arcade, Eleni Foureira and Michael Tsaousopoulos. Behind the lyrics of Eleni’s latest single are ArcadeAndy Nicolas and Eleni Foureira herself. The song has been released under the label of  Panik Records.The official music video of ‘Light It Up‘ has been produced by Giorgos Damaskinos.

 

Eleni Foureira in Eurovision  

Eleni Foureira, made her first attempt to reach the Eurovision stage in 2010 when she participated in the Greek national final with Manos Pyrovolakis & Don’t Ask with Kivotos tou Noe and placed 2nd.

Eleni Foureira  was internally selected by CyBC and represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song “Fuego”. On 8 May 2018 she qualified from the first semi-final to the grand final, where she finished second with 436 points, the best result Cyprus has ever achieved in the contest.

After her achievement with “Fuego” in Eurovision 2018 ,  Eleni has met growing success across Europe holding concerts and attending major music events. Her success was followed by several new hits such as Karamela, “Tomame”, “El Ritmo Psicodélico”“Loquita”.
