Cyprus: President of the Republic N. Anastasiadis thanked Eleni Foureira and Alex Papakonstantinou

Yesterday, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, welcomed Eleni Foureira, Alex Papakonstantinou and members of the RIK delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus thanked both Eleni Foureira and those who contributed to the second place in the Song Contest in Lisbon, the best place ever taken by Cyprus.

After the meeting, Foureira said:

“It is very beautiful all this and in such circumstances I keep low tones. We did not sing Fuego in the presidential palace”.

She also said she would start her summer tour from Cyprus and she will work very hard to promote her career abroad as well. Eleni Foureira was honored at a similar ceremony yesterday by RIK’s administration, and in the afternoon she appeared at the Cyprus Pride 2018 concert, in Nicosia, where she was literally retelling.
