Cyprus: Sony Music International has secured Fuego’s rights abroad
After winning the second place at this year’s Eurovision, the road for international career for Eleni Foureira was opened. About two days ago, Sony Music International got the rights of many this year’s Eurovision songs,including Foureira’s “Fuego”. In addition, Sony Music also secured other tracks from this year’s contest, including the Czech participation.
After Eurovision, Fuego and the career of this year’s represenantive of Cyprus skyrocketed.Specifically, Fuego climbed to international charts of Itunes (17 countries), Spotify (20 countries) and Apple Music (31 countries) . Eleni Foureira has also grown to the global ranking by touching artists such as Nicki Minaj and Beyonce.
We remind you that Sony Music has been owned by artists such as Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Camilla Cabello, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, etc. Some of Eurostars who have managed to work with Sony Music is Mikolas Josef, Conchita Wurst, Jessica Mauboy and others.
As for Greek artists, few of them managed to collaborate only with the Greek branch of Sony Music (Anna Vissi, Antonis Remos, Elena Paparizou, Ivi Adamou, Kati Garbi etc.). Her new partnership in no way negates her collaboration with Panik Records as their collaboration was renewed shortly before Eurovision.
