People and Eurofans we have our second ESC 2019 act unveiled as Eurovision 2019 national selection season is unwiding. Tamta will fly the Cypriot flag in Tel Aviv next May and aims to stand out with her entry entitled Replay

Cyprus’ last ESC 2018 success has given a huge boost to people’s interest within the country and the broadcaster’s ambitions for the next contest, therefore it was not surprise that the county was one of the first to confirm participation in Tel Aviv.

National broadcaster CyBC today posted what was more than obvious the last two months:

THE CREATIVE TEAM BEHIND THE SONG

The Cypriot briadcaster through teasers and quizzes revealed that the composer of the song will be once again the Greek Swedish songwriter and composer Alex Papaconstantinou.

After last year’s succeess with Foureira the Cypriot broadcaster had no reason to change its recipe and sticked once again with Alex who contributed to this year’s 2nd place in Lisbon. On the other hand, it’s not time the time Alex and Tamta will meet each other in the music scene, as back in 2015 Alex was behind Tamta’s song “Unloved” which was to compete in the Greek national selection but eventually failed to me comply with the submission deadline and didn’t reach in the national final.

Alongside with Alex the CyBC revealed the whole creative team behind the Cypriot entry , which includes some of the most successful names of the music industry Teddy SkyViktor SvenssonAlbin Nedler and Kristofer Fogelmark are on board and will try along Alex contribute in making a winning entry for Cyprus.

After the composer’s creative team the broadcaster went on with the  staging director of the song . The well known choreographer  Sacha Jean Baptise, will be responsible for the Cypriot entry’s staging for a 4th time. Sacha  is familiar to Eurovision family as she has been involved many times in several country’s staging. At the 2018 contest she directed the performances of Cyprus, Australia and Bulgaria, she has also previously worked with the delegations of Armenia (2016)  and Georgia.

Apart from Eurovisiom  Jean-Baptiste has great experience as a choreographer contributing in the staging of many TV shows as the  Swedish Idol,  X Factor Sweden of course  Melodifestivalen.

You need my love on REPLAY

CyBC had hinted and later confirmed the song’s title, through a new cover picture on Facebook. Thus, Replay becomes the first revealed song title of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. It’s remarkable that CyBCdidn’t stay there, as some of the track’s lyrics are also out, such as:

You need my love on replay

Replay, replay, replay, yeah…
