Czech Republic: Listen to the “Eurovision Song CZ 2020” competing entries
Following the Czech Boradcaster’s announcement of the 7 participants of the country’s national final , “Eurovision Song CZ 2020”, CT unveiled the competing entries of national final.
The competing entries of Eurovision Song CZ 2020 are:
- Barbora Mochowa – “Black & White Holes”
- Benny Cristo – “Kemama”
- Elis Mraz & Čis T – “Wanna Be Like”
- Karelll – “At Least We’ve Tried”
- Olga Lounová – “Dark Water”
- Pam Rabbit – “Get Up”
- We All Poop – “All the Blood (Positive Song Actually)”
The online voting kicked off today at 20:00 CET and will close on February 2 (20:00 CET). the results will be revealed the next day and will determine the final results by 50%. Following the voting’s results the International juries will cast their votes in order to determine alongside with the public vote the Czech Eurovision representative.
The Eurovision story so far
Czech Republic appeared for the first time in the Contest in 2007 with Kabat. A a row of disappointing results the country withdrew in 2010 and didn’t return until 2016. In 2016 its returned was followed by a grand final qualification for the first time . The best result came for the country in 2018 with Mikolas Josef who achieved a 6th placing in the Lisbon with his song και Lie to me.
Last year, Lake Malawi represented the country and finished 11th in the final . This was the country’s third qualification to the final . The outstanding element was the gap between the jury voting that placed the group 8th with 150 points while the public vote placed the Czech at the 24th place.
