Denmark: Leonora wins Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019 and is heading to Tel Aviv
Just minutes ago the Dannish national national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019, finished determing the country’s Eurovision 2019 act. Among 10 competing acts , Leonora was crowned winner and will represent Denmark in Tel Aviv with his/her song Love is for ever
Hosts of tonight’s show were Johannes Nymark and Kristian Gintberg. The 10 DMGP 2019 competing acts that took the stage and gave the battle for the ticket to Tel Aviv were :
Simone Emilie – Anywhere
Jasmin Gabay – Kiss like this
Rasmus Faartoft – Hold my breath
Marie Isabell – Dancing with you in my heart
Sigmund – Say my name
Humørekspressen – Dronning af baren
Julie & Nina – League of light
Teit Samsø – Step it up
Leonora – Love is forever
Leeloo – That vibe
The winner was determined in two rounds of voting. During the first round public and jury voting decided which three acts will qualify to the second superfinal round. In the second stage of voting the three acts received votes again by the jury and public from zero base to declare the final winner.
The three acts that qualified to the superfinal round were:
- Sigmund – Say my name
- Julie & Nina – League of light
- Leonora – Love is forever
From the three acts above Leonora was crowned winner and will represent Denmark in Tel Aviv next May. The results in the second round developed as following:
- Leonora – 42%
- Julie & Nina – 35%
- Sigmund – 23%
