Denmark: Rasmussen wins Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2018 and will go to Lisbon.
This evening the Danish national final , Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, took place and determined the country’s next Eurovision 2018 representative. Big winner of the night was Rasmussen with his song Higher Ground
Hosts of tonight’s show were Annette Vollmer Heick (journalist- singer) and Johannes Nymark (member of the group Lighthouse X that represented Denmark in Eurovision 2016). The final was held at the indoor arena Gigantium in the city Aalborg and a total of 10 acts battled for the golden ticket to Lisbon.
The 10 competing artists were:

Anna Ritsmar – Starlight
Rasmussen – Higher Ground
Sannie – Boys on Girls
Sandra – Angels to My Battlefield
Lasse Meling – Unfound
CARLSEN – Standing Up for Love
KARUI – Signals
Rikke Ganer-Tolsøe – Holder fast i ingenting
Albin Fredy – Music for the Road
The winner was determined after two rounds of voting. During the first round jury and public voted for their 3 favorites entries. The results of this 2nd Super final phase of voting declared Rasmussen the big winner of the night.
- Rasmussen – Higher Ground – 50% (winner)
- Anna Ritsmar – Starlight – 31%
- Albin Fredy – Music For The Road – 19%
Guest star of tonight’s show was the ESC 2014 winner, Conchita.
