EBU: A total of 45 countries to broadcast “Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light”

EBU has confirmed that a total of 45 nations and 46 broadcasters will be broadcasting this year’s alternative Eurovision show : “Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light” . 

Following the heartbreaking and unprecedent cancellation of the Eurovision song Contest 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic , EBU has decided to fill the gap with the special show: Europe Shine a Light aiming to honor the 41 delegations and bring people together through music. The show will be produced by the three Dutch Eurovision 2020 host broadcasters, AVROTROS, NPO and NOS and will be present to us by Jan Smit, Edsilia Rombley and Chantal Janzen.

All of the ESC 2020 competing broadcasters along with those of Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kazakhstan and  Kosovo will be inlcluding in their programs the alternative Eurovision show.

The show is set to be broadcast on May 16 at 21:00 CET from from Hilversum, the Netherlands while the ESC 2020 contestants will be performing live from their countries.
