Emma Marrone for Italy

Rumors circulated yesterday that Emma Marrone had been chosen to represent Italy.

Today RAI has officially confirmed it and it is Emma who will represent Italy in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Emma had won Italy’s San Remo Festival in 2012 with the song Non è l’inferno, but it was Nina Zilli who represented Italy in 2012. Emma is a well established singer in Italy and has participated in San Remo festival many times. Her albums have gone gold, platinum and multiplatinum many times and she is also a screenwriter and producer for her music videos.
