Estonia: Eesti Laul 2021 songs to be released on December 5

The Estonian national selection is moving forward into the next stage as the 24  Eesti Laul 2021 competing song will go public on Saturday evening, December 5. 

The 24 entries that will compete in the Estonian national selection for Eurovision 2021 wiil be unveiled next Saturday on “Eesti Laul 2021. Start”.  Two weeks ago the national broadcaster revealed the 24 acts that will take part in the next edition of the competition along with the song titles. Now, next Saturday the songs will be released letting us know what we will see in the upcoming Estonian semi finals.

The Eesti Laul 2021 participants are:

  1. Uku Suviste – The Lucky One
  2. Gram of Fun – Lost In A Dance
  3. Tuuli Rand – Üks Öö
  4. Jüri Pootsman – Magnus Melanhoolia
  5. Redel – Tartu
  6. Kéa – Hypnotized
  7. Hans Nayna – One By One
  8. Nika Marula – Calm Down
  9. Andrei Zavakin & Pluuto – Wingman
  10. Wiiralt – Tuuled
  11. Helen – Nii Korgele
  12. Koit Toome – We Could Have Been Beautiful
  13. Karl Killing – Kiss Me
  14. Egert Milder – Free Again
  15. Rahel – Sunday Night
  16. Sissi – Time
  17. Alabama Watchdog – Alabama Watchdog
  18. Kristin Kalnapenk – Find A Way
  19. Tanja – Best Night Ever
  20. Heleza – 6
  21. Uku Aasma – Kaos
  22. Suured Tüdrukud – Heaven’s Not That Far Tonight
  23. Kadri Voorand – Energy
  24. Ivo Linna, Robert Linna, Supernova- Ma ole siin

Some of the notable names among the potential ESC 2021 hopefuls are  former Eurovision representatives. Namely we will see compete  Koit Tome ( 1998, 2017) and Juri Pootsman (2016), while  Uku Suviste returns to defend his victory as he was offered a wildcard for the semi finals of the next Eesti Laul after this year’s unprecedent cancellation of the contest. In addition we will see  Ivo Linna (1996) and Tanja (2014) who are making an attempt for a comeback on the Eurovision stage.

Essti Laul 2021 will take place over three nights, consisting of two semi finals and a grand final show, all set to be held exclusively in the capital city of Tallinn. The timeline of the Estonian selection has as below:

  • Eesti Laul 2021 Semifinal  1 – February 18, 2021
  • Eesti Laul 2021 Semifinal  2 – February 20, 2021
  • Eesti Laul 2021 Grand Final – March 6, 2021

Uku Suviste won the Esti Laul 2020 national final with the song “What Love Is” but due to the cancellation of Eurovision the musician was deprived the chance to represent Estonia in Rotterdam this year. Lets remember his Eurovision 2020 entry:
