Estonia: The 6 qualifiers of “Eesti Laul 2019” Semi-Final 2
The second semi-final of the Estonian national selection “Eesti Laul 2019” has just concluded, determining the second set of six finalists of the national final to be held on February 16. They will join the qualifiers of the first semi-final Victor Crone, Stefan, Inger, Sofia Rubina-Hunter, Sandra Nurmsalu and xtra basic & Emily J in the race for the ticket to Tel Aviv.
A total of 12 acts took part in tonight’s second semi-final and performed live in the following order:
- Sünne Valtri – I’ll Do It My Way
- Iseloomad – Kaks miinust
- Lumevärv feat. INGA – Milline päev
- Sissi – Strong
- Cätlin Mägi & Jaan Pehk – Parmumäng
- Kadiah – Believe
- Kaia Tamm – Wo sind die Katzen?
- Kerli Kivilaan – Cold Love
- Grete Paia – Kui isegi kaotan
- Lacy Jay – Halleluja
- Around the Sun – Follow Me Back
- Uku Suviste – Pretty Little Liar
Out of the 12 semi-finalists 6 acts qualified for the final:
- Sissi – Strong
- Kadiah – Believe
- Kerli Kivilaan – Cold Love
- Sünne Valtri – I’ll Do It My Way
- Lumevärv feat. INGA – Milline päev
- Uku Suviste – Pretty Little Liar
THE VOTING PROCESS
Just like in the first semi-final the hosts revealed the first 4 qualifying acts according to the combined jury vote and televoting once the 12 performances were completed (in a random order):
- Kadiah – Believe
- Sissi – Strong
- Kerli Kivilaan – Cold Love
- Uku Suviste – Pretty Little Liar
After a recap of the remaining songs the public had a second voting round in order to send two more acts to the final. The two acts that received the most votes in the public televote and will join the other 4 qualifiers in the final are: Sünne Valtri and Lumevärv feat. INGA. However, no placings and points were revealed or which act topped the voting during the show. The final of “Eesti Laul 2019” will be held on February 16 in Tallinn.
