Estonia: Uku Suviste wins Eesti Laul 2020 with “What Love Is” and is off to Rotterdam!
One more country added its choice on the Eurovision 2020 representatives list , as Estonia held its national final show of Eesti Laul 2020 which Uku Suviste won with his entry “What Love Is” and will be flying to Rotterdam next May.
After two semi final rounds the final of Eesti Laul took place tonight at Saku Suurhall in Tallin and was presented to us by Karl-Erik Taukar and Tõnis Niinemets. A total of 24 acts competed in the two semi final rounds from which six acts from each semi final made it to this evening’s final show.
Therefore the 12 acts we saw compete in tonight’s final were :
- Inger – Only Dream
- Rasmus Rändvee – Young
- Stefan – By My Side
- Synne Valtri feat. Väliharf – Majakad
- Uudo Sepp – I’m Sorry. I Messed Up
- Uku Suviste – What Love Is
- SHIRA – Out in Space
- Anett x Fredi – Write About Me
- Jaagup Tuisk – Beautiful Lie
- Traffic – Üks kord veel
- Egert Milder – Georgia (On My Mind)
- Laura – Break Me
The final winner came through two rounds of voting. During the first round the three acts that received the most votes by public and jury qualified to a Superfinal round during which the winner was determined exclusively by the public. The three contestants that qualified to the Superfinal round were:
- Uku Suviste
- Anett x Fredi
- Jaagup Tuisk
However the audience crowned winner in the Superfinal round Uku Suviste and his entry “What Love Is” and will represent the country in the 65th Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam next May. Take a look below to the Estonian hopeful for Eurovision 2020:
