Eurojury 2020: Iceland the big winner of this year’s edition

Iceland is the big winner of the 2020 edition of Eurojury , an online contest run my Eurovoix in collaboration with other Eurovision media outlets . 

One more Eurojury has been completed with Eurovoix and the collaborating sites holding the 2020 edition that crowned winner the Icelandic entry, “Think about things” performed by  Daði og Gagnamagnið. 

Before the Eurojury final, two semi final voting rounds were held in order to determine the 10 acts from each semi final that qualified in the final round where they met the Big  5 countries and The Netherlands as host country. A total of 180 jurors from 42 countries contributes along with the public vote to determine the Eurojury 2020 outcome. The jurors were past ESC participants, musicians and music experts and contributed to the overall score with a 50% share while the public vote filled in the rest 50%.

The overall result is pictured below:

Iceland won Eurojury 2020 only with a margin of 1 point (440 points) ahead of Switzerland that came 2nd with 339 points. Malta achieves a 3rd placing with 366 points while Sweden and Lithuania close the top 5 respectively.

As one can notice the results between the jurors and the public voting are totally different as the top 3 places in each voting are won by six different countries while the winning country, Iceland topped the jury voting and comes 4th in the public voted while the runner up , Switzerland , topped the public vote and came 6th in the jury vote.
