Eurovision 2016: Weekend’s news
This weekend was a busy one for 7 countries and their selection procedure. Ηungary, Ukraine, Iceland, Sweden. Lithuania and Finland on Saturday and Latvia on Sunday came closer to their final desicion for Eurovision 2016. Lets see what happened to each show.
Ukraine
One year after their withdrawal from ESC, Ukraine is back again. This was the 1st of the 2 semi-final shows and we had totally 9 acts – 3 qualified for the Grand final. These 3 acts are:
- Jamala–1944
- Brunettes Shoot Blondes – Every Monday
- The Hardkiss – Helpless
Hungary
This was the 3rd and last show before the two semi-finals for Hungary’s <<A Dal 2016>>. In total, 6 songs are in the semi finals from yesterday’s show.
- Petruska – Trouble In My Mind
- Szilvia Agárdi – It Is Love
- Parno Graszt – Már nem szédülök
- B The First – You Told Me That You Loved Me
- Nika – Emlékkép
- Berkes Olivér & Tóth Andi – Seven Seas
Iceland
Söngvakeppnin 2016 is on, and we have the first three acts for the Grand final.
- Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir – Raddirnar
- Erna Hrönn Ólafsdóttir & Hjörtur Traustason – Hugur minn er
- Karlotta Sigurðardóttir – Ostodvandi
Sweden
Melodifestivalen 2016 kicked off from Goteborg, and we have the 1st two finalists of the final.
- Ace Wilder – Don’t Worry
- Robin Bengtsson – Constellation prize
Lithuania
The 5th show of Eurovizija 2016 is over. Who moves on?

- Ruslanas Kirilkinas – In my world
- Ieva Zasimauskaitė – Life (not that beautiful)
- 4 Roses – Butterfly
- Saulenė Chlevickaitė – Strong

Finland
First semi final for ”UMK 16″ (Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu), and 3 ladies moved on.

- Eini – Draamaa
Latvia
Supernova for Latvia and four acts are in the semi-final now.
- Catalepsia – Damnation
- Justs – Heartbeat
- Ivo Grisnins – We are the light
