Eurovision 2018: Lisbon welcomes all the artists

Since 2009, the Eurovision Opening Ceremony has been established, in which the city officially welcomes the Contest and the delegates.
The 43 contestants of the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest met each other tonight at the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology in MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) and walked on the huge blue carpet in the museum courtyard next to the Tagus River. This was an opportunity,as every year, for all contestants to get to know the four presenters, reporters, fans, and have fun before the three great nights that follow.
For the first time, this year we did not see a red but a blue carpet at the Opening Ceremony. This decision was taken by the organizers as the theme of this year’s Contest is the sea and maritime history of Portugal.
The blue carpet was presented by Pedro Penim, Cláudia Semedo, Inês Lopes Gonçalves and Pedro Granger.
INFE with all its regional INFE clubs was to all the artists good luck.
