Eurovision 2019: Four hosts for the live shows; Shiri Maimon not among the candidates

The auditions to determine the Eurovision 2019 hosts are over. A total of 4 hosts will be responsible to present us the 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest , two located on the stage area and two in the Green Room.

The auditions have been recorded and sent to EBU which will determine in collaboration with the Israli production team the next Eurovision hosts.

According to newspaper Israel Hayom, the popular in the country Eurovision 2005 representative, Shiri Maimon didn’t eventually pass through the auditions due to an overloaded schedule, therefore the newspaper excludes the Israli star from the group of candidates. Although lots of fans anticipated her comeback on the Eurovision stage as a host this unfortunately won’t happen eventually. Her name was on the spotlight lately as a potential Eurovision host, since she has a notable experience on TV shows presentation, as the Israeli national final in 2011 and being a judge in a talent show.

Additionally, neither the co-host of the popular show, Next Star, Rotem Sela is among the candidates. This show determine the Israeli Eurovision act the last 4 years and will be the format for this year too. Artistic director Moshe Kepten isn’t too among the candidates as he is going to be the director in the forthcoming  Eurovision.
