Eurovision 2019: KAN throws more light on stage design details

The Israeli national broadcaster,  ΚAN and responsible for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2019, has given some more pictures and details on this year’s stage in Tel Aviv.

THE INTERVIEW

During an interview Florian Wieder gave to the Israeli TV Channel Keshet 12 and to Jonathan Rieger more light was thrown to details on the Eurovision 2019 stage that he has been assigned to design.

                                   

This year’s stage design refers to a diamond and is formed by hundreds of triangles. According to Wieder’s statement in the interview, the stage design combine element from the Jewish tradition and is inspired by the Star of David and the 12 tribes of Israel. The German Jewish designer talked about a very impressive stage which will be unforgettable and leave most of the people speechless.

FLORIAN WIEDER

Florian Wieder’s experience includes the Eurovision stages in Düsseldorf (2011), Baku (2012), Vienna (2015), Kyiv (2017) and Lisbon (2018). Apart from Eurovision He has worked on projects such as The X Factor talent show in Great Britain and the USA, and the MTV Video Music Awards. Florian is amongst the most sought after stage designers in the world today having gained much fame and achieved many awards for his work in many projects internationally. He has been behind the stages during concerts of great artists such as U2 and Robbie Williams.

The 2019 Eurovision stage will be built  at Expo Tel Aviv’s newly built Pavillion 2. The 2019 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 14, 10 and 18 May in Tel Aviv, Israel.
