Eurovision 2019: Ticket sale starts today

The EBU and Israeli host broadcaster KAN have announced that tickets for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv will go on sale today, Thursday 28th of February, at 19:00 CET. The semi-finals will take place on May 14 and 16, followed by the Grand Final on May 18. The ticket sale will start at 19:00 CET here.

Tickets for all shows including rehearsals will go on sale via this year’s official ticketing company Leaan, which is the only recommended way to purchase tickets for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. For this reason, the EBU is working with consumer federation Ticket Check whose logo guarantees the official purchasing from the ticketing website.

For this year’s edition tickets can be purchased for both the main hall in Expo Tel Aviv’s Pavilion 2 and the green room in Pavilion 1.

Earlier on in February, host broadcaster KAN had revealed the ticket prices for all shows and admitted that the price tickets are high but justified by the fact that the availiable number of seats are reduced and the state doesn’t support the event financially. Therefore even with a smaller number of tickets they have to cover the cost of the event. Although the Eurovision 2019 venue Expo Tel Aviv, has a capacity of 10.000 people, for each show the number of seats goes down to 7300 for security reasons and equipment allocation. Out of the 7300 available seats and tickets 3000 are reserved for the EBU, delegations and sponsors meaning that the clear number of tickets availiable for fans is around 4300 only. An overview of the expected prices is summarised in the chart down below.
