Eurovision 2020: The “Open Up” theme art unveiled

Following last month’s revelation of the Eurovsion 2020 slogan, “Open Up” , the Dutch broadcaster and EBU have unveiled  the forthcoming competition’s theme art and logo.

The logo theme art refers tp the history of the Eurovision Song Contest began in 1956 it had seven participants, in 2020 it will be welcoming 41 participants and will be reaching 65 year of existance The artwork competition won the Dutch Agency  Clever Franke , which designed and developed the artwork while a total of 11  local companies competed in the artwork competition.

Sietse Bakker ( Eurovision 2020 Executive Producer Event) commented on the Eurovision 2020 artwork theme:

This design follows the characteristics of Dutch Design: minimalistic, experimental and innovative. It tells a story, it’s colourful, festive and, not unimportantly, widely applicable. Coincidentally, the first Eurovision Song Contest was opened by the Netherlands in 1956, hence the timeline starts with the colours of the Dutch flag.

Jon Ola Sand ( Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor /EBU) stated:

We are extremely pleased with the artwork for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 that perfectly celebrates our 65 year heritage. The impactful design also encapsulates the event’s modern values of diversity and inclusivity and beautifully complements this year’s slogan ‘Open Up’.
