Finland: Sandhja goes to Stockholm with ‘Sing it away’
UMK 2016 has finally come to an end and Finland has decided! After three weeks of semi finals and a grand final, Sandhja was chosen to represent the country at Eurovision 2016 with “Sing It Away”. The result came out as a surprise because Sandhja only came third in the public vote. The result was made after a 50/50 voting split between a national jury and the public. The jury consisted of ten groups: Eurovision experts, musicians, media, Youtube stars, Finnish-Swedes, LGBT, parliamentarians, road workers, children and social media stars.
