France 2018: National Final for France

It is obvious that the last 2 years the interest of the French audience in Eurovision has increased. That’s why this year’s representative for the country will be decided through a National Final. The show will be composed by 3 shows, 2 semi finals  and the final. We still dont know the exact dates of the shows but it is rumored that the National Final will be carried out in January 2018.

The one think think that we know for sure is that French/Canadian singer Garou will host the 3 nights.

After this year’s participation in Kiev, the National Broadcaster of the country France 2, announced immediately that the competitor that will come after Alma will be determined after a National Final.  The last 3 years, the French representative was chosen internally.

The 2 semi final shows will not be aired live and the results will be determined only by jury voting. The Final show will be a live show and the representative for France in Lisbon will be determined through televoting (50%) and a jury (50%).
