Georgia: GPB confirms participation in Junior Eurovision 2021

The Georgian national broadcaster, GPB, has confirmed that it will be taking part in in Junior Eurovision 2021 next November in France. 

The Head of the Delegation of Georgia, Natia Mshvenieradze, talking to  Eurofestivales, confirmed that the country will once again be present in 2021 edition of the contest.

In previous editions the country has selected their hopeful through the music televised show “Ranina” and is more likely opt for the same selection formula. However more information on the selection method will be shared the following weeks. 

The story so far

Georgia debuted in Junior Eurovision back in 2007. The nation has achieved 3 victories in the contest, in 2008, 2011 and 2016. Out of total 13 participations it has finished in a top 10 placing 11 times while the worst result came in 2014 when Georgia finished 11th. In 2019 year Tamar Edilashvili represented the country with the song Your Voice, which came 8th with a total of  144 points.

Last year Sandra Gandelia wonthe show “Ranina” and represented Georigia in Warsaw with the song “You are not alone” which finished 6th with 111 points.
